Our Story

We decided to have our wedding at the place we very first met, over seven years ago, Park Point Beach.

Even though we were in the same friend group, it took awhile for us to actually meet. After a few weeks of our friends trying to get us together, we found ourselves at the same beach party one night – and haven’t left each other’s side since.

Within our first few weeks of dating, our relationship was put to the test after Andy survived a house fire. It was terrifying for both of us. Even though we hadn’t been together long, neither of us could imagine our lives without each other.

Our relationship survived its first test, but immediately was put up to bat again when Liv’s mom passed away a few short months later. We hadn’t even been together six months, and we were facing challenges some people will never face in their entire lives. We faced challenges that would break most young, new couples; but for whatever reason, it only made us stronger. We learned right away we could lean on each other for anything, our loyalty would never waiver. This is really the core and foundation of our relationship, a deep sense of trust and respect.

Over the past seven years our life has been filled with love, laughter and dogs. Our first dog was a 13 year old rescue, Kumar, who changed our lives eternally for the better. Kumar truly helped us decide to plant our roots in the Northland.

We both love Duluth deeply, and knew we wanted this place to be our home base. We’d begun looking for a house to buy; with our fingers crossed we could find one on Jefferson Street – a neighborhood that’s close to both of our hearts. Stars aligned when Liv’s bestie told us her family home on Jefferson Street was for sale. We packed up Kumar, left our one bedroom apartment and moved on up to the now infamous “Jefferson Street House.”

With more space called for more dogs. We decided to pair Kumar with a crazy four month old puppy, Carly. Five years later, Carly is still crazy, Kumar has passed on and we have just welcomed our newest addition to the family – Fly.

Since meeting on the beach that summer evening, we have enjoyed every moment spent together, and can’t wait to continue this beautiful life we’ve built.

Walking down the aisle is just the beginning, see you all in August on Park Point.
